Enjoy almost limitless cross-country skiing pleasure between the regions of Nauders, Tyrolean Oberland, and Kaunertal and let yourself be inspired by the scenic beauty, especially on the trails of the Kaunergrat Nature Park. You won’t find so much variety anywhere else.
You can find a selection of cross-country trails here.
What’s next? Cross-country ski in Austria!
Part of what makes this region so special for cross-country skiers is the altitude. The trails around the Kaunergrat Nature Park House sit at 1,500 metres, threading through the snow-covered “Harbe Wiesen” forest – and some routes climb as high as 1,900 metres, where reliable snow is simply a given. On clear days, the views stretch far beyond the valley; on the more ambitious circuits, it’s even possible to glide across into South Tyrol or the Swiss Engadin. Few cross-country regions in Tyrol offer that kind of range.
