Savoury, tasty, and absolutely delicious

Join us on a culinary journey through Alsace-Lorraine.

How does autumn taste to you? Savoury, hearty, tasty? Then you should try this super-easy recipe for Quiche Lorraine, a real favourite of guests on holiday in Austria. The quiche can also be made as a vegetarian version, with courgettes and cocktail tomatoes for example – or with whatever Mother Nature provides.

Recipe for one quiche:
1 puff pastry or short-crust pastry
100g bacon, diced
1 leek
½ onion, diced
4 eggs
250ml crème fraîche
Salt and pepper

Transfer the pastry to a quiche mold and poke all of its surface with a fork.
Sauté the onion, thinly sliced leek, and bacon in some butter and sprinkle it over the pie crust.
Whisk together the eggs and crème fraîche until smooth. Season with salt and pepper, then pour the mixture over the bacon, onion, and leek.
Bake the quiche at 180°C bottom/top heat for about 35 minutes, or until golden brown.

Have fun baking, eating, and indulging – on your own or with your favourite people!
